AN AFTERNOON OF FUN WITH J.CUPPACAKES | FOODVENTURES

An Afternoon of fun with J. Cuppacakes

Some of you might not know that I love to cook and I've been wanting to try baking as well. My fondness for cooking and baking started when I watched a cooking show on TV back when I was in high school. I even dreamt of being a chef someday.

So when I got a personal invitation from Chef Julianne Bernardo, owner of J.Cuppacakes to attend their first bloggers night and that there will also be a baking workshop as part of the event, I got excited!

The event started with a welcoming speech from Chef Julianne. After which we had our afternoon food feast. J. Cuppacakes has been known for their delicious desserts but they also have savoury dishes as well. Aside from that, they also provide various catering and events.

And now let me share to you our baking workshop.

This is the baking area

Chef Julianne and her team personally assisted each group on how to bake.

Here's our team while patiently listening to our chef instructor.

Our team's mise en place

Everyone is busy baking.

Fresh from the oven. This is what our team made. Vanilla Cupcakes!

Trying out our piping skills. I think it was nice results for first timers, eh?

Our artwork! Isn't it beautiful? :D

Our team's cupcakes flat lay arrangement.

We even won the best in flat lay photography during the event! Yey!

We all had so much fun during our baking workshop with J. Cuppacakes.
And that's not all, we even get to take home the lovely cupcakes that we baked plus a special buffet dessert in a box from J. cuppacakes too, sweet isn't it? :D

And aside from those, we also got something from Magnolia, All About Baking, Steuarts Tea, Celebrations Party Central and I do nails.

If you have an event or celebrations and looking for an amazing caterer that can add the "WOW" to your celebrations, you can always count on J. Cuppacakes.

They also have other branches. Visit them and have a taste of their savoury dishes and sweet treats.

So go and spread the J. Cuppacakes sweetness too!

FEELING FRAZZLED LATELY? THE FRAZZLED COOK IS THE PERFECT PLACE FOR YOU | FOODVENTURES

Feeling Frazzled lately?  The Frazzled Cook is the perfect place for you to relax and clear your mind with the help of their good food and nice ambience. We had the chance to dine here because the Zomato Foodie Meet up was held here. Their resto is located at a quaint house along Sct. Gandia Street. The ambience of the  resto is great, relaxing and will make you feel at home.         Some of the food we sampled are:  Herbed Chicken Salad   - it has crisp greens with mangoes, a hefty serving of chicken and croutons in basil vinaigrette dressing.  Truffle Pizza with Chili Garlic Oil   - This is not yet on their menu. We're fortunate that we already had a taste of this delicious pizza. It's a cheesy pizza topped with mushrooms and truffle. For added flavor and kick, pour some Chili Garlic Oil on the pizza.  Seafood Paella  - The ser...

NEW PERUVIAN RESTAURANT IN QC | CEVICHE PERUVIAN GASTRO PUB | FOODVENTURES

Ceviche is a new Peruvian Restaurant in Quezon City. It is the well-known before as 'Don Andres Peruvian Restaurant' in Scout Tobias. They recently moved their restaurant in Sto. Domingo street and changed the name to 'Ceviche'.   This is my first time to know about Peruvian Cuisine and I know that most of Filipinos are not very familiar with it too. It's great that there's a new resto to try in Banawe area that is different from what we are accustomed to.  Peru is known for their Ceviche and it's a favourite dish of many in Peruvian cuisine. Ceviche is like our Kilawin but instead of using vinegar, they use citrus fruits like lime or lemon. The resto has a very homey ambience. Great painted wall art and colorful tables and chairs. Ceviche is also a gastropub and they have plenty of alcohol, beers and cocktails that you can choose from.  Ceviche has a wide menu from chicken to pork to beef to seafood.  ...
