ARTISANAL BURGERS AT BURGER BOX | FOODVENTURES

I and my husband had always been a burger junkie. We’ve tried countless of burger joints already, from the common burgers we’re all familiar with and up to the fancy ones.   We spotted a new burger joint in Banawe and we got so excited to try it.  Burger Box is a casual dining burger place that serves artisanal hamburgers. The restaurant is tucked in the streets in a moderately busy area of Banawe.  The interior is simple, casual and has some relaxing and friendly atmosphere to it.  We decided to order their Belgian Twister Fries, Onion Rings, Caramelized Bacon, The Crate, and Hard Box.  Belgian Twister Fries P55 Everybody loves a good french fries right?  This fries is fried to perfection! Golden brown with a crunchy outside and fluffy on the inside.  Onion Rings P95 Thick-cut onion rings made from white onions. Golden fried and perfectly paired with their ketc

AN AFTERNOON OF FUN WITH J.CUPPACAKES | FOODVENTURES

An Afternoon of fun with J. Cuppacakes Some of you might not know that I love to cook and I've been wanting to try baking as well. My fondness for cooking and baking started when I watched a cooking show on TV back when I was in high school. I even dreamt of being a chef someday. So when I got a personal invitation from Chef Julianne Bernardo, owner of J.Cuppacakes to attend their first bloggers night and that there will also be a baking workshop as part of the event, I got excited! The event started with a welcoming speech from Chef Julianne. After which we had our afternoon food feast. J. Cuppacakes has been known for their delicious desserts but they also have savoury dishes as well. Aside from that, they also provide various catering and events. And now let me share to you our baking workshop.  This is the baking area Chef Julianne and her team personally assisted each group on how to bake.

CHIBO OKONOMIYAKI'S NEWEST OFFERINGS 2018 | FOODVENTURES

Chibo Okonomiyaki is Osaka’s most famous Okonomiyaki restaurant.  We recently visited their second branch in Podium to try out their new food offerings.  Their Podium branch opened last December 2017.  Located at the 5th floor of The Podium, Chibo Okonomiyaki is casual dining, with japanese inspired interiors.  What I noticed in this branch is that there’s no teppanyaki tables here unlike in S Maison. The reason behind is that in Podium they cater mostly to businessmen and corporate people who doesn’t have plenty of time to spend on their meal breaks.  They have new food offerings on their menu and lucky for us, we got to try some of it. Chicken and Coriander Salad (P288.00)   Grilled chicken, lettuce, coriander, topped with onions and drizzled with sambal dressing.  Teppanyaki Gizzard (P238.00) Chicken gizzard mixed with their yakiniku sauce and some scallions.

FEELING FRAZZLED LATELY? THE FRAZZLED COOK IS THE PERFECT PLACE FOR YOU | FOODVENTURES

Feeling Frazzled lately?  The Frazzled Cook is the perfect place for you to relax and clear your mind with the help of their good food and nice ambience. We had the chance to dine here because the Zomato Foodie Meet up was held here. Their resto is located at a quaint house along Sct. Gandia Street. The ambience of the  resto is great, relaxing and will make you feel at home.         Some of the food we sampled are:  Herbed Chicken Salad   - it has crisp greens with mangoes, a hefty serving of chicken and croutons in basil vinaigrette dressing.  Truffle Pizza with Chili Garlic Oil   - This is not yet on their menu. We're fortunate that we already had a taste of this delicious pizza. It's a cheesy pizza topped with mushrooms and truffle. For added flavor and kick, pour some Chili Garlic Oil on the pizza.  Seafood Paella  - The serving of this paella is pretty big, it has generous amounts of seaf
