Ilustrado Restaurant in Intramuros is celebrating its 29th year anniversary and to celebrate their anniversary, they are offering an 8-course Degustation menu for the whole month of October. The menu was created by Chef de Patron Bernice Pimentel . They utilize local cuisine and ingredients in an up-to-date fashion or the millennial way. We started our degustation with Kangkong Pesto Brioche served with Boursin Cheese . The bread was soft and I love the combination of the pesto and the Boursin Cheese. Next, we had the Kesong Puti Croquettes at Lato with baby mesclun and salsa verde aioli . Oyster Laing Rockefeller , it’s Aklan Oyster, chili, coconut, dried taro, reggiano, panko and lemon.
