Sweet tooth but looking to start a healthy lifestyle? | Sweet and healthy life with California Raisins | FOODVENTURES

If you have a sweet tooth but are looking to start your wellness journey, we have good news for you. Yes, you can have your cake and be well, too!

California Raisins - loved by many as Mother Nature’s candy, enable you to enjoy delicious dishes that nourish your soul and uplift your mood, while ensuring they still nourish your body and uplift your energy.

California Raisins are made for healthy eating and snacking. Dried in the warm California sunshine, they come by their sweetness naturally. This little fruit has many benefits that help to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

To educate and inspire Filipinos on how they can transform their favorite food items to delightful dishes, California Raisins partnered with Dr. Klaus Tenbergen, certified Master Baker, to showcase easy, exciting, and affordable recipes that families can easily recreate at home.

“Yummy snacks and desserts can still have a place on your table, even as you commit to a healthy lifestyle,” said Richard Lieu, Director of Trade Promotions. “Opting for natural ingredients like California Raisins, being more informed and intentional about your food choices and pursuing balance and moderation, can help make your wellness journey not just sustainable in the long-term, but even joyful and rewarding as well.”

During the event held at Ikomai and Tochi, Dr. Klaus and Dr. Priscilla demonstrate how people can use California Raisins and cut down on sugar.

Here are the snack creations they shared.

Feeling Frazzled lately?  The Frazzled Cook is the perfect place for you to relax and clear your mind with the help of their good food and nice ambience. We had the chance to dine here because the Zomato Foodie Meet up was held here. Their resto is located at a quaint house along Sct. Gandia Street. The ambience of the  resto is great, relaxing and will make you feel at home.         Some of the food we sampled are:  Herbed Chicken Salad   - it has crisp greens with mangoes, a hefty serving of chicken and croutons in basil vinaigrette dressing.  Truffle Pizza with Chili Garlic Oil   - This is not yet on their menu. We're fortunate that we already had a taste of this delicious pizza. It's a cheesy pizza topped with mushrooms and truffle. For added flavor and kick, pour some Chili Garlic Oil on the pizza.  Seafood Paella  - The ser...

NEW PERUVIAN RESTAURANT IN QC | CEVICHE PERUVIAN GASTRO PUB | FOODVENTURES

Ceviche is a new Peruvian Restaurant in Quezon City. It is the well-known before as 'Don Andres Peruvian Restaurant' in Scout Tobias. They recently moved their restaurant in Sto. Domingo street and changed the name to 'Ceviche'.   This is my first time to know about Peruvian Cuisine and I know that most of Filipinos are not very familiar with it too. It's great that there's a new resto to try in Banawe area that is different from what we are accustomed to.  Peru is known for their Ceviche and it's a favourite dish of many in Peruvian cuisine. Ceviche is like our Kilawin but instead of using vinegar, they use citrus fruits like lime or lemon. The resto has a very homey ambience. Great painted wall art and colorful tables and chairs. Ceviche is also a gastropub and they have plenty of alcohol, beers and cocktails that you can choose from.  Ceviche has a wide menu from chicken to pork to beef to seafood.  ...
