Most Filipinos are known to be foodies. We are always looking out for new dining spots and foods to try out. Maybe that's also one of the reasons why Food Parks became a trend in the Philippine Food scene. Filipinos instantly embraced food park concepts because there have a variety of cuisines, unique food concepts and instagrammable spots in just one roof. They don't need to go to different restos to try out different cuisines anymore.
So, I and my friends recently discovered a new food park located along Timog Avenue in Quezon City, which is the 8 Seas Food Adventure.
At first, you wouldn't notice that it's a food park basing from the look of the establishment on the outside. The food park is decorated like a cruise ship, it's made out of most metals and container van, there's also lots of nets and lifebuoys hanging on the walls and verandas. The food park has an open-air, dining space with plenty of tables and chairs.
What to eat at 8 Seas Food Adventure?
8 Seas Food Adventure has 14 food stalls with a mix of local and international cuisines. For our visit, we only tried 7 food stalls but we're definitely going back and try out other stalls as well.
So, to help you decide on what you should eat, I'll list down the food you must try in each food stalls.
For Deep-Fried delights: CHICKAPIG
Chickapig serves a variety of chicken and pork dishes, like chicken wings, karaage, sisig and bagnet.
The dishes I liked the most from Chickapig are
Garlic Parmesan Karaage
This one is great for snacks or as an appetizer. It's yummy just the way it is, no need for dips or other sauces.
Sisig
This sisig is so good, the pork is crispy, and has the right balance of saltiness and creaminess as well.
Bagnet
Their bagnet is super crispy and has the right saltiness to it. The vinegar makes it taste even better. The bagnet has more fat than lean meat, though I prefer bagnet with equal parts of fat and lean meat but if you're a fat lover then you'll definitely enjoy this.
For Meat lovers: RIBS BBQ by Monapao
Ribs bbq serves all-meat dishes like Ribs, Sizzling Bulalo, and Steaks.
Sizzling Bulalo
It has a large tender beef shank with bone marrow, mushroom gravy sauce and corn kernels served in a sizzling plate.
Roasted Beef
Tender slices of beef with salty-creamy sauce.
For Sushi lovers: SUSHI SHACK
They served all types of sushi, sashimi and rolls. The owner who's also the chef is a Sushi Chef from Bermuda, so the mix of flavors of his sushi rolls are super good.
Floki Rolls
It has Salmon, cucumber, peppered tuna, seaweed salad, topped with tempura flakes and wasabi truffle sauce.
Baked Shack Rolls
It has Salmon, crab, mango, avocado, scallions, tobiko, topped with tempura flakes and sriracha-teriyaki sauce.
For KBBQ Fanatics: SAMGYEOP SA TIMOG
We rarely see a samgyeopsal stall in a food park, good thing 8 seas food adventure has it.
They have 9 kinds of meat. A variety of Pork, Chicken and Beef. It's also complete with side dishes, lettuce and rice plus they also have Soju.
For Pizza and Pasta lovers: CUCINA NI PAULINA
Cusina ni Paulina offers a variety of Pizza and Pastas.
Shrimp and Aligue Kani Pasta
Spaghetti pasta with aligue sauce, shrimps and fried crab sticks on top.
Katsuobushi Pizza
It has Mozzarella cheese, shrimp, squid, bacon, eggs, and topped with katsuobushi aonori and wasabi mayo.
For Inuman and Pulutan food: BUTCHATAKI
They offer mostly food for pulutan from the usual lechon kawali, chicken fingers and kilawin.
Chicken Fingers
Mixed Sausage
Grilled Tuna Belly
For Tea and Coffee drinkers: KOCCO
Shark Attack Tea
